Cancelling your subscription

If you have a 6 or 12 month membership, there is never a recurring subscription to cancel. If you have monthly membership, you may need to manually cancel your subscription when you no longer want it.

Depending on how you brought your membership and when, there may be several different ways to cancel your subscription; some memberships don't need cancelling at all. This can make the process a little confusing at times. Rather than trying to explain all the different methods available, we've decided to describe only the simplest, universally applicable method: sending in a support ticket.

While in an outpost and logged in to the account who's membership you wish to cancel, click the "Help?" button at the top right of the screen. Then click "Support" - this will take you to our support system. From there, click "Start a discussion". Select "Cancel Subscription [private]" from the drop down box, fill in the subject bar and describe your request in the text box below.

A member of the support staff (normally me) will then be able to determine what sort of subscription you have from our records, and cancel it if required. We try to answer payment issue support tickets within 24 hours, but it may take longer during busy periods.

If you have a monthly membership and switch to a 6 or 12 month membership, your monthly subscription will not automatically be cancelled - you'll still need to contact us.

Cancelling your subscription does not effect your current membership time - you always receive 100% of the time you've paid for - cancelling simply prevents it from auto-renewing.
